This two-storey country house design has its structure divided into two smaller volumes featuring archetypal forms. The morphology and massing draw inspiration from traditional rural architecture, surrounding buildings and the existing demolished structure. The ground floor accommodates a spacious living room with an integrated kitchen and terrace. Additionally, there is a guest room, bathroom, cloakroom, utility room, and a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The smaller building serves as a parking space for cars and includes an outdoor storage area. In the loft of the main house, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The loft area of the smaller building may function as a storage area and is accessible from the outdoor storage area via a folding staircase. Situated in the north-western part of the plot, the living areas of the house open onto a large garden overlooking the pond.
In terms of materials, the building design is simple to blend harmoniously with the predominantly rural character of the surrounding buildings. The main structure of the house features a light grey plaster with a fine stucco texture. In contrast, the smaller building is finished in a striking black with vertically boarded burnt timber planks. The spacing between the wider planks will always be covered by thinner planks, creating a distinctive visual effect with overlapping elements in some places. Window and door frames are coloured in a dark grey shade to complement the cladding, sills, and other facade elements. Both buildings are topped with black concrete roofing to achieve a cohesive aesthetic.
